We are enjoying every minute of this season. This weekend we popped some popcorn, made hot cocoa, watched Frosty, Rudolph, and the Grinch with Emily Jo. And anyone who knows us, knows that is a lot of tv time for us! She thought we could do it again tonight! But after a 1, 2 and 3 year old birthday parties in the last two days we opted for an EARLY bedtime. We are so thankful and grateful to have kids that don't argue (much) about going to bed (yet).
I never say never in this journey...tantrums are in FULL FORCE around here and the "elf on the shelf" has had little to NO effect on Emily Jo. In fact, she has even said she's naughty and doesn't care if she gets toys from Santa. I'm not convinced she "gets" it yet, but I'm settling for some sticks and stones in the stocking!
Its been a true joy creating new traditions and memories with Emily Jo this year. We have already baked our first round of cut out cookies, sang our fair share of Christmas music with Jingle Bells being a favorite, and cried our first tears to Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer. Who knew that was such a tear jerker?!?! Pretty sad when Rudolph leaves his parents :(
Happy Holidays to each of you who read along!
CHEERS!
