So, its been awhile it seems since I've caught you all up on Emily Jo's progess! She is really growing up FAST! Thanks to Aunt Kohl, baby food will soon be a thing of the past as Emily Jo is LOVING all the table food we give her (eggs, cheese, deli meat, hamburger, pasta, green beans, etc.) You get the point - she is growing up and turning baby food down for the real stuff :) And she only has 2 bottom teeth - yikes!
Along with giving up baby food she is mostly taking a sippy cup during the days with a bottle at night and morning (soon to change though). She really could careless about what it comes from, if she wants it, she'll drink it and if she doesn't trust me she WON'T! Her "personality" (if thats what you want to call it) is really coming out. She certainly isn't shy about letting you know what she wants and doesn't want. She isn't too fond of changing time these days so that is like a wrestling match every time and let me tell you she is strong and twists and turns quicker than you think a 9 month old would - ha!
Speaking of QUICK - she is down the hall or in the next room lightening fast with her little army crawl. She pulls up on EVERYTHING and shows you how proud she is when she pushes her "walking" toy across the room. I don't think we have too many more weeks before she is solo walking?!?!
We have started a later bedtime at 8pm (it used to be 7pm). This change came because she was only taking (2) 1 hour naps during the day because she was sleeping from 7-7. At this age "THEY" say babies only need around 14 hours of sleep. So, now she sleeps from 8 or 8:30 until 7 which resulted in a morning nap about an hour or so and a longer afternoon nap (2-3 hours). This makes me and the babysitter much happier! :) I have nothing to complain about in the sleep department because she has always gone to bed awake and if she wakes up in the night she knows how to put herself back to sleep.
OK, so this turned into a longer post than I had planned. Enjoy the few pictures of the awesome Harris wedding last weekend and a few of the girls in their Mexico dresses Nan got them.
