Camping in the Heat

We went camping this past weekend with our friends, Darrin, Rena and Angie at Hillsdale just 20 minutes from home.  Our "new" camper is GREAT to have and we did borrow a portable A/C unit that helped cut the heat (sort of).  Darrin and Rena have a pop up camper with a great A/C so we did utilize that to cool off and not get over heated.  I'm glad we borrowed a portable one first because we now know we won't buy one.  Instead I think we might try and invest in a bigger, more permanent one on top. We have some research to do on it still and it won't be until next year.  One of those, try it before you buy it things :)
Emily was a trooper and did great sleeping at night.  However, for her nap on Saturday her and I ended up at home.  I am SO GLAD we did too, because she slept for THREE solid hours and I even got some sleep too - not to mentioned showered!  We were good to go and happy campers for Saturday evening!  It just was too warm to get her wound down in the camper and she was bouncing off the walls so I gave up and drove HOME! I don't think there is anything wrong with taking advantage of being near home while camping in the heat...
As you can see from the pictures, we had tons of FUN!  Oh, and how could I forget that we got to watch Sydney Jane on Friday afternoon!!!  Emily Jo was ok with it for awhile but is quick to decide otherwise - I had to be on top of the game for sure and protect baby Sydney from Emily Jo's quick moves - haha.  We can't wait to see her again - she is such a good baby!!!!!
Have I mentioned lately, life is GREAT!?!  I couldn't be happier!
