As Seph and I were packing up at my parents place in Tokyo on Sunday, November 25th we got the news that my Grandma (dad's mom) was very ill. To make a long, frantic story short - my parents ended up jumping on the airbus with us that very same day. It was a very nerve racking 12 hour+ without any contact about Grandma as we headed back to the USA! With there being a 14 hour time change, we arrived in the USA on Sunday, November 25th (weird, I know)!
That week Audrey had tubes scheduled to be put in on Tuesday and her neurologist appointment set for Friday. I was prepared to go with the flow that week we returned from vacation...and we did just that. Thankfully everything went on as planned and by Saturday at noon I was able to KISS and even TALK to Grandma in person!!!!
She made a miraculous recovery and after 7 days of being on a ventilator has now been off of it for 9 days and looking to go HOME TOMORROW! Absolutely unreal on how fast she has regained her strength and health. She'll have to take time and learn her new "normal" but have faith she will transition back without problems. Prayers and love are with all of our loved ones. Life is precious.
We are truly blessed.
